
Ray Burns is the Director of Temple Christian Counselling
He is an accredited counsellor with the Association of Christian Counsellors and has many years experience as as counsellor and as a supervisor of other counsellors.
Ray grew up in Aberdeen, he was fostered from a young age. After many difficult years he ended up as a young man in London living in a squat and addicted to heroin.
He had a dramatic encounter with God at a Christian rehabilitation centre and was set free from his addiction and his life was completely turned around.
Ray came to sussex in 1982 where he met his wife. For 7 years he was the manager of the Good News Book Centre in Littlehampton where many people came in to the shop for a listening ear and wise counsel.
During that time Ray began to train as a counsellor he went on to run community projects for 12 years in Sussex working mainly with substance misuers and their families.
He is also a trainer in counselling skills for the Barnabas Trust Consortium the UK’s leading provider of Christian counselling training.
